Riga post office No. 45 will welcome customers at a new address and in more comfortable premises from the 6th of February

In order to improve convenience of the customers and employees, from the 6th of February 2018 Riga post office No. 45, which has so far operated at 22 Katrīnas dambis, will be relocated to the newly refurbished premises at 5 Alūksnes Street that are better suited for customer service. The new address of the post office is only 450 meters from its existing location. The relocation of the post office premises will not cause any changes in the customer service and delivery of items.

The new premises of post office No. 45 are newly refurbished, more convenient and more suitable for customer service, providing a friendly environment for both customers and employees. New parents with baby strollers and people with reduced mobility can easily access the new premises. No changes in the customer service and delivery of items are planned due to the relocation of the post office to the new premises.

On the 5th of February, the day before the post office starts operation in the new premises, the opening hours of Riga post office No. 45 will be from 8 AM to 2 PM. 
The customers of Riga post office No. 45 are being notified with the help of special information notices in their letter-boxes regarding the change of the address, and this information is also available in the current premises of the post office. Since 2017 Latvijas Pasts has implemented a number of projects for improving customer service in the post offices, including the change or refurbishment of premises to ensure a friendlier environment for customers and employees. Among these projects are the establishment of children’s corners, placement of bicycle racks of a special design, installation of the multi-functional customer flow management system In-Out and the opportunity to apply for postal services remotely in 67 post offices using the Latvijas Pasts mobile App. These projects are being continued in Latvijas Pasts in 2018.
