Types
Trackable
We deliver trackable postal items to the recipient without a signature by placing them in the letterbox, if the size allows. Trackable items are accepted for delivery within Latvia and to selected international destinations. You can use a trackable item to send documents, written messages or various small, non-fragile items.
Registered
Registered shipments are delivered to the recipient against a signature. For faster and more convenient communication, we recommend adding the recipient’s phone number on the address side when sending a registered and/or insured item. For easier and more affordable preparation of registered items, use the Mans Pasts self-service system.
Standard
Unregistered and untrackable items delivered to the recipient’s letterbox, if the size allows.

You can send printed materials and items intended for use by people with visual impairments.
The service is available if provided by the postal operator of the destination country.
Insured postal items
Registered items insured against loss, theft, or damage, delivered to the recipient against a signature upon receipt.

You can send from a parcel locker to another Latvijas Pasts parcel locker, post office or the same parcel machine by selecting the storage function for 7 days. Parcels can be up to 38 x 38 x 58 cm and 31.5 kg in weight. All parcel machine shipments are trackable. At the time of delivery, you will receive a text message with information about the parcel machine address and the collection deadline if the shipment was delivered to a parcel machine.
Choose your shipment packaging carefully to ensure it is durable and suited to the item's weight. Seal the parcel or other packaging securely so that it is not damaged during transport and the contents cannot fall out. Provide the recipient’s correct full name and address, and, preferably, also a mobile phone number and any other necessary contact information.
You can send various types of written communications in a letter correspondence item, placed in an envelope. We accept simple items for domestic and international shipping. Pay, affix a stamp and design according to the terms of addressing the item. Send by dropping it into a letter box in Latvia or at a post office.

Proof of delivery
Available for registered or insured shipments. An additional form is attached to the shipment, which the recipient signs. The signed form is then sent to the sender by post.
For international shipments, a special form is required. It is available and must be filled in at a customer centre or post office. For domestic shipments, the form is generated by the mans.pasts.lv self-service system — it can be printed and attached to the shipmen

Insurance
The shipment is insured against loss, theft, or damage. The insurance amount is set by the sender but may not exceed the value of the items contained in the shipment. The shipment includes proof of delivery, which is provided to the recipient against a signature or unique code. Depending on the type, weight, size, and additional services, the shipment is delivered to the recipient’s home, parcel locker, customer centre, or post office.

Cash on delivery
Available only for insured domestic shipments within Latvia. The recipient receives the shipment only after paying the amount specified by the sender. The collected COD amount is transferred to the sender based on the selected money transfer method — to a PNS account, a bank account, or via postal money order. The COD amount cannot exceed the declared insurance value.
