Types
Standard
Unregistered and untrackable shipments delivered to the recipient’s letterbox, if the size allows, or to the nearest post office.
Trackable
Trackable mail is delivered without a signature, placed in the recipient’s letterbox if it fits. Trackable shipments are available for both domestic delivery and selected international destinations. You can use this option to send documents, written communications, or small, non-breakable items.
Registered shipments are delivered to the recipient against a signature. For faster and more convenient delivery, we recommend including the recipient’s phone number on the address side when sending a registered and/or insured shipment. Use the Mans Pasts platform for easier and more cost-effective registration of shipments.
Insured
The letter is insured against loss, theft, or damage. The insurance value is set by You and cannot exceed the actual value of the contents. A delivery confirmation is provided. The shipment is handed over to the recipient against a signature (or unique code).
A free standard letter correspondence shipment of up to 7 kg. The sender or recipient must be a blind person or an organisation representing blind individuals. You can send printed materials and items intended for use by blind people. This service is available where supported by the destination country’s postal operator.
Insured postal shipments
Registered shipments that are insured against loss, theft, or damage and delivered to the recipient against a signature.

You can send various written communications in a letter correspondence shipment by placing them in an envelope and paying with postage stamps. We accept standard letters for delivery within Latvia and abroad. Buy and attach the correct stamp, address your letter according to the addressing guidelines, and send it by placing it in a post box.

Choose durable packaging that suits the weight of your shipment. Seal the box or other packaging securely to prevent damage or content loss during transport. Include the recipient’s full name, correct address, and preferably a mobile phone number or other relevant contact details.
You can send a shipment from a parcel locker to another parcel locker, customer centre, post office, or to the same locker using the 7-day storage option. Shipments may be up to 38 × 38 × 58 cm in size and weigh up to 30 kg. All parcel locker shipments are trackable. When delivered to a locker, you will receive a text message with the locker address and collection deadline.

Proof of delivery
Available for registered and insured shipments. An additional form is attached to the shipment, which the recipient signs upon delivery. The signed form is then returned to the sender by post.
For international shipments, a special authorisation form is required. It must be completed at a customer centre or post office. For domestic shipments, the form is generated by the mans.pasts.lv self-service platform. It can be printed and attached to the shipment.

Insurance

Cash on delivery
Available only for insured shipments within Latvia. The recipient receives the shipment only after paying the amount specified by the sender. The collected amount is then transferred to the sender using the selected payment method:
