Extension of shipment storage period

Store your shipment at a customer centre or post office for up to two months from the date of receipt.

If you’re the sender, you can apply now at any customer centre or post office, or electronically — by submitting a completed application and showing the original receipt or proof of shipment.

If you’re the recipient and know the shipment number, you can apply now at a customer centre, post office, or electronically.
Clients with an existing contract can apply now via the Postal Services Sales Department.

The storage period can be extended for up to two months from the date the shipment was accepted for storage.

The application must include:

  • Shipment number
  • Sender
  • Recipient’s business name, contact phone number and email address
  • The date until which you want to extend the storage period
Important!

You can submit the completed application at any post office or electronically. We will review the application within three working days.

Pricing

For parcels and letters containing goods or small items, an additional storage fee applies for keeping the shipment at a customer centre or post office beyond 10 calendar days: €1.00 per day per shipment (including weekends and public holidays).

This fee does not apply to letters weighing up to 500 g.
