Service

Set up an authorisation

Authorise another person to collect your postal items. The authorised person will be able to receive postal items at the delivery address, customer centre or post office by showing their passport or ID card and the authorisation, or by providing the authorisation number.

Apply in person

You’ll need to complete the authorisation form and submit it at a customer centre, post office, or via the “Pastnieks mājās” service, showing proof of identity (the authorised person does not need to be present to set up the authorisation).

The authorisation takes effect after payment for the service, verification of the information included, and registration at Pasts.

To receive a shipment, the authorised person does not need to show a paper authorisation if the authorisation details are already held by Pasts.

Before collecting the shipment, the authorised person should inform the staff member that the addressee has set up an authorisation for receiving shipments.

Apply with a secure electronic signature

You’ll need to complete the authorisation form and sign it with a secure electronic signature.

  • Pay the service fee according to the price list.
  • Send the authorisation, signed with a secure electronic signature, and the payment order to info@pasts.lv.
  • The authorisation takes effect after payment, verification of the included information, and registration at Pasts.

Before collecting a shipment at a customer centre or post office, inform the staff member that you have an authorisation prepared and submitted electronically to Pasts.
