Latvijas Pasts has commenced cooperation with Nova Poshta Global

SJSC Latvijas Pasts has commenced cooperation with the Ukrainian logistics company Nova Poshta Global for postal item delivery services in the Baltics.

Under the partnership, Latvijas Pasts will deliver Nova Poshta’s items to customers in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Currently, the cooperation between the two companies primarily revolves around the flows of e-commerce items.

This means that the Ukrainian company has access to the delivery network and logistics services of Latvijas Pasts. Namely, Latvijas Pasts delivers parcels and other types of e-commerce items both via parcel lockers and by special delivery to the addressees who are private individuals and business customers in the Baltics.

Kaspars Briškens, Minister of Transport, emphasises that Ukraine is a significant partner: “Latvia and Ukraine share a strong bond of mutual relations. Entrepreneurial dialogue is especially important at a time when we can help to bridge the gaps between people and borders separated by the war. Therefore, we are open to extensive cooperation, exploring efficient solutions to streamline logistics processes.”

Latvijas Pasts believes that the cooperation will lead to a higher volume of items and, in the future, will also expand delivery options to Ukraine for residents of the Baltic region.

“We see international development driven by cooperation, enabling us to deliver increasingly high-quality services, providing customers with faster and more convenient options for receiving items,” points out Beāte Krauze-Čebotare, Chairwoman of the Board of Latvijas Pasts.

“Global e-commerce trade is gaining maximum popularity. Convenient online shopping and almost unlimited global e-commerce opportunities drive customers to use cross-border services ever more often. Nova Global has extensive expertise in international cargo delivery for business and private clients globally, including the Baltic States. The cooperation between Nova Global and Latvijas Pasts will provide fast and efficient logistics solutions, connecting business communities of many countries,” says Yurii Benevytskyi, CEO of Nova Poshta Global.

The strategic development direction of Latvijas Pasts is to enter new markets and work hard to establish partnerships. The company, in collaboration with Ukraine, sees an opportunity to strengthen its position outside of Europe, taking into account Nova Poshta Global’s plans to establish a new logistics connection with the United States.

As previously reported, Latvijas Pasts is constantly improving and expanding its services in order to reinforce its position in the business segments it represents. One of the company's priorities for 2024 is to increase the number of parcel lockers to 500, resulting in the largest network of parcel lockers across Latvia, which will significantly expand the possibilities of receiving postal items for our customers.

At the same time, the company is developing the e-commerce mail and logistics business segment, as well as improving the availability of universal postal services, item delivery processes and customer service. Latvijas Pasts is also promoting new directions for redirecting parcels and cooperating with international e-commerce service providers to position Riga as a logistics hub.
